Q - I have kadet pro, the kadet filet clamps are out of stock, but the k03 ones are in stock. What are the differences between the two? Thanks

A - It will work without any problems at all, the only difference is the fact that the Kadet clamps are slightly shorter than the K03 clamps. This means that if you want to use a Kadet clamp side by side with a K03 clamp at the same time then they will be different lengths.

If you want to extend your Kadet clamps to match the K03 clamp length, Gritomatic also sells "Gearconnect" extensions for the Kadet clamp to match the K03 clamp length.

Here is a link if you're interested in the extension blocks I'm referring to :

Hope this helps you!

Should I purchase the Kadet dual milled fillet clamps or the single fillet clamp for small knives. Also if you recommend the double can you still center the knife with 2 and or use one clamp if necessary?

A - Either would work in your case, but the dual fillet clamps are more versatile in most cases. If you want to use both clamps together on a small knife, there is actually no need to have it in the center of the clamp bar. You can install both clamps on one side of the bar if needed.

No, these clamps are much thinner whole milled, fillet knife clamps for narrow blades and lower sharpening angles. The Kadet Pro comes with regular whole milled clamps.

The single fillet clamp seems to be out of stock everywhere, but Russia. I need a solution for small Swiss army and pocket knife (<3”) blades on the Kadet.

A - Personally, I like using 2 Hapstone Lite clamps with a Gearconnect adapter for my Victorinox blades. I use 1 clamp on the flat ricasso, and the other about a half inch back from the tip. Works very well.
